My name is Dan Oien, Founder, Owner, and one of 2 Brokers here at First Choice Real Estate -

since 2004. As a top listing and selling agent in Muscatine and Cedar Counties I am ready to

help all buyers and sellers in any price range. A lifelong resident of Wilton, I reside in a restored family home. My daughter, Shelby, is currently working as an RN at the University of Iowa Hospital. My son, Gage, is currently at the University of Dubuque working on his pilot’s license.

With my parent’s purchase of the local lumberyard in Durant back in  1987, I have been in & around the building/construction business for  a very long time.  My interest in the construction business led me to  becoming a real estate agent.  I have been a real estate agent for the  past 22 plus years.

I am a proud wife and mom of 2 living in Moscow.  I grew up on a farm outside of Stockton and since I have been in the area my whole life, I have close ties to the community. I was raised in the small town of Tipton in Cedar County, where I  attended Tipton schools and Mt. Mercy College in Cedar Rapids.   

In  1986 I moved to Muscatine County where I served the citizens for over  34 years at the Muscatine County Sheriff's Office, eventually retiring  as the Muscatine County Sheriff.  

Upon retirement I  immediately entered the real estate world, where I continue to enjoy  helping clients with their buying and selling needs.  I deal in all  aspects of the trade, including residential, commercial and Ag/rural  properties.   

I possess a great knowledge of the area and  work anywhere in Iowa, but primarily in Cedar, Muscatine and Louisa  counties. My clients are confident that they have expert representation.
